Accommodations Coordinator

Status: Full-time, Hourly with Benefits

Hours: Average of 30 hours/week

Reports to: Executive Director/Assistant Director

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Oversee and manage monthly, weekly, and daily Accommodations team schedules
  • Work alongside the Accommodations Team in routine cleaning and preparation of facilities including lodging areas, meeting spaces, and common areas, within allotted time parameters
  • Collaborate with all staff to ensure EPC facilities are ready arrival of guests
  • Manage linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment ensuring appropriate inventory, maintain records as needed
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and an orderly work environment
  • Onboard and train Accommodations Team new hires
  • Lead efforts in the periodic laundering of EPC linens, etc.
  • Facilitate annual deep cleaning projects with the Accommodations Team
  • Coordinate and oversee Accommodations Team operations regarding preparation of any special events
  • Present cleaning guidelines to summer staff during orientation each May
  • Attend and participate in weekly EPC team meetings
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by EPC leadership
  • As is the case with all other Camp Associates, be cross-trained and available to work in other areas such as the Kitchen, when scheduled by the ED.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly lifts cleaning supplies, equipment, mattresses, trash bags, boxes, weighing up to 40 pounds
  • May ascend/descend step stools while cleaning cabins including bunkbeds and windows
  • Tasks require frequent bending at the waist required while making beds, picking up items off floor and cleaning bathroom facilities
  • Work is primarily performed indoors, however exposure to outdoor weather conditions is required while traveling between buildings and when cleaning some exterior surfaces
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job – reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Commitment to the Christian faith and mission of Emmanuel Pines Camp and Conference Center
  • Previous Accommodations experience required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including rotating weekends based on seasonal demands
  • Clearance of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen prior to hire

Camp Associate

The Camp Associate reports directly to Camp Coordinators and Camp Managers per daily assignment. Camp Associates also report to the ED/Associate ED.

Please be advised that all Camp Associates shall be cross-trained in 3 major areas of camp service:

Kitchen, Maintenance/Engineering, and Accommodations. Camp Associates may be asked to engage in more than one area of service per shift.

Camp Associate Kitchen Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and serving meals.
  • Participate in after meal clean up.
  • Clean and organize kitchen facilities as directed.
  • Wash and fold all kitchen laundry.
  • Operate dishwasher
  • Set tables
  • Make juice/fill cereal containers
  • Clean up around garbage cans, cart and counter by fridge
  • Mop dish pit after supper clean up
  • Clean dish pit as directed
  • Report any breakages to Kitchen Manager or Shift Lead.
  • Attend staff meetings as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Be flexible.

Camp Associate Accommodations Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Accommodations Coordinator and other crew members in general housekeeping duties as assigned, keeping a special eye for thoroughness and detail to all cleaning tasks.
  • Become highly familiar with all facilities on Camp.
  • Assist in special deep-cleaning tasks as assigned by Accommodations Coordinator.
  • Actively engage in all custodial assignments.
  • Report any breakage, overt wear-and-tear to facilities, or suspected property theft to Accommodations Coordinator with immediacy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attend staff meetings as assigned.
  • Be flexible.

Camp Associate Maintenance/Engineering Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Maintenance Coordinator and other crew in general camp maintenance.
  • Assist in special projects in the area of maintenance as required.
  • Custodial duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attend staff meetings as assigned.
  • Be flexible.
